Testimonials: What our customers think...

Purchasing the Motorbike Tours of Europe: France book together with the map and route sheets has to be one of the best things I've done in ages! The book's a real gem, and gives you just about everything you need to know for successful motorbike touring in France. I've been thinking of taking the bike (and until now a reluctant girlfriend) over to France for some time, but a complete lack of experience and knowledge of the roads and the places to go to has always held me back. And I really need a change from riding on the same boring roads in the UK. Now, having read through only four of the ten tours in the book, I already feel confident that we would have a fantastic time, get on the best biking roads and not miss out on anything 'en route'!

Jumping in with both feet, we have already booked the ferry to Cherbourg for a 4 day, long weekend to Dinan in two weeks time (Tour 1 in the book). We've decided to go for the hotel in central Dinan suggested in the book, and with all the contact details provided, making a reservation was very straightforward and easy (Marc, the owner, really does speak excellent English and is well used to having British bikers to stay!). Having read the trip overview I can't wait to get going, especially the rides to St-Malo and Mont-St-Michel (great photo!). The guides' author seems to have covered everything we need to know, obviously gained from first hand experience of the area. If this tour is the success we anticipate then the next tour will be to try one of the longer ones, hopefully with several of our biking friends, to take in the spectacular scenery and excellent roads through some of the Gorges in Southern France (Tours 5 and 8).

The whole package is brilliant, easy to read, practical, and takes all the hassle out of planning a successful tour. Highly recommended!

Have just completed Tour 3 from the ferry terminal at Caen to Ancy-le-Franc in Burgundy and back. After an easy-to-follow ride from the ferry to Ancy, the real surprise for me were the quality of the "things to do when you get there". Medieval villages like Noyers and fascinating places like Abbey de Fontenay all linked up by heavenly biking roads through stunning scenery. Brilliant!

Tour 5 featuring 'Route Napoléon' and the Gorges du Verdon is awesome! If you don't do any other motorbike tour in France, don't miss out on this one. In 24 years of biking, I have never experienced such a fantastic combination of superb biking roads, breathtaking scenery and that sense of freedom that only a motorcycle can provide. EMT have done a superb job in putting all this together in one easy-to-follow tour, removing all the hassle to allow you to get the most from your biking holiday.

A great package! Very clear descriptions and detailed information in the guide book, with enticing photos that really make you want to go touring. Tour direction cards fit nicely in the top of my tank bag (I don't have Sat/Nav), and the supplied road map of France is perfect to take with you. Highlighting the routes for all the 10 tours on the map is brilliant, particularly helpful too early on when deciding which tour to go on. Overall, a very good package, and excellent value!

A quick note just to say many thanks for an excellent product. I've taken the bike to France on several occasions in the past and wish I could have had the benefit of your package beforehand. I really fancy doing the tour down to the Dordogne [Tour 6] first as the roads and photos look really good, and from reading your notes there's a lot to do down there. I've got a Garmin sat/nav and all your GPS co-ordinates will take the hassle out of finding the places to visit. I'm going to do the tour at the end of September and I'll let you know how I get on! Once again, many thanks for an outstanding product.

Well done EMT! Just what I've been looking for. Although I've been biking for over 30 years I've not taken the bike to France before! I've never really been keen to go on one of those hand-held guided tours as I prefer to be independent, so your package is absolutely perfect for me. All the hassle of finding the best roads to ride on and where to stay and go when you get there is all taken care of. I'm really keen to do your Tour 10 across the Pyrenees - looks like a challenge! Thanks for a great package.

Received the package through the post yesterday and just wanted to say how brilliant I think it is. Apart from ten great looking tours, all the additional information you provide under tour:extras is very helpful, even for a fairly experienced tourer like myself. I think the touring tips and packing/to do lists are particularly helpful, and essential stuff for someone who hasn't taken their bike abroad before. Like the highlighted routes of the tours on the folded map of France, and your A5 direction sheets for the tank bag are very clear. Worth every penny! Many thanks.
